Louai Alrifai is a Canadian commercial real estate investor and the founder, President and CEO of Alrifai Real Estates, a private commercial real estate holding company established in 2008 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario.
He is the sole owner of a $120M+ commercial portfolio spanning more than 800,000 square feet of gross leasable area and over 100 commercial acres across Ontario and Saskatchewan. The portfolio includes regional enclosed shopping centres, medical and urban core commercial properties, and strategic industrial land along the Highway 401 corridor.
Alrifai built the firm on a disciplined contrarian strategy: power of sale, court ordered, and distressed commercial acquisitions executed with proprietary capital and unconditional closing capability. The firm buys below replacement cost, repositions the asset, and holds long term. It has never raised outside capital.
Notable holdings include the 400,000 square foot Gateway Mall in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, acquired in 2026 and now under active repositioning, alongside commercial holdings in the Greater Toronto Area and industrial land positioned on the Highway 401 corridor.
